The four years I spent studying at Humboldt State were packed with important events and life-altering decisions. After the death of my mentor, Deborah Clasquin, I decided to write about these important events. Four Years of Fog is a tone poem performed on a just-intonated piano to reflect the strangeness of my time as an undergraduate. I’ve spent quite a long time reminiscing about this time in my life, and this piece, along with my Piano Concerto, are the final pieces about this chapter in my life.
